La Mère

A word from Chef Patron Clinton Cachia

"I discovered my passion for cooking early on in life. After my mother passed away at a young age, it was my responsibility to cook for my family. Over the years, what was a self-taught necessity became my profession."

I read cookbooks avidly, always inventing opportunities to try out new recipes. After I decided to take up cooking as a career, I attended college whilst also gaining experience by working in different restaurants.
In October 2007, I decided to open La Mere Restaurant. La Mere takes patrons through a journey of two great cuisines – Indian and Middle Eastern. Do not be misled by the name - La Mere, meaning 'The Mother' in French - which I purposely chose since this restaurant is dedicated to my late mother.
